Baby Trend Expedition ELX Travel System Stroller – Spearmint jogging stroller with car seat and base Reviews
walks are fun (By jennifer)
I received this stroller as a gift and I absolutely love it! The color makes it gender neutral and very stylish. I am not an exercise enthusiast or runner by any stretch of the imagination, but I use this stroller on daily walks with my 4 month old. Unlike traditional strollers with 4 small wheels, the 3 large bike tires on this stroller make it possible to take it anywhere. I frequently walk with other Moms who have difficulty navigating their traditional strollers over anything other than a completely flat floor. The tires on this stroller work well on grass, blacktop, gravel, you name it! The stroller is extremely sturdy and easy to steer. I also like that the stroller folds up for easy transportation and storage. Just be sure to set up the stroller before you take baby out of the car, as it does not easily unfold with one hand. When folded, the stroller fits easily into my Camry, making it a very ideal size. I also love that this stroller is part of a travel system. The infant car seat transitions from car to stroller in a matter of seconds, and allows your baby to face you as long as he is in the carseat. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a stroller.
Great car seat overall (By Amazon Customer)
We got the stroller as part of the travel system and it’s worked really well for us. Instead of needing several different types of strollers (standard, jogging, umbrella, etc.) we just got this one and have been very happy with it for the year we’ve used it so far. I like how the car seat fits into the stroller well, when our little guy was tiny, and I like how the front wheel can lock into place for “jogger mode” and then unlock for the ease of a standard stroller.
I have only two critiques. First, the cup-holders up by the handle are too small, smaller even than the cup-holders in the front tray. They could fit a paper coffee cup or a plastic 16-ounce water bottle, maybe, but they can’t fit a regular reusable water bottle or travel coffee cup. Second, the seat lounges back a little too far for my little guy at times. When he’s sitting, he likes to sit straight up and see everything around him, and if we buckle him in he can’t do that. That being said, it is nice to have the capability to lean the seat back when he’s sleeping, so he’s “laying down” more.
Those are the only too issues we have with the stroller, but overall we really like it.
